The Museum
The Virtual Museum brings together the devices born of Alfred Tomatis’s research — the “Electronic Ear” and its successive generations, from the first machine of 1952 to the most recent electronic models.
The opening account, The Evolution of the Electronic Ear, retraces the technical history of the instrument — from the experimental assembly of 1947 to the industrialised analogue line of the 1990s. The entries that follow present each device and its photograph, in chronological order.
